Rihanna on her collection: ‘The dress with the slit is for my boy. It’s one of his favourites.”
After showing the world (and all of Oxford Street) her fab new River Island collection yesterday,Rihanna celebrated by hitting London’s trendy Distrikt club with a wide variety of celebs and US. That’s right, we were there to hang with our new fave designer in the (very gorgeous) flesh.
When we arrived at the party we spotted the glamorous singer who looked very casual in her second RiRi for RI outfit of the day. The star was happily chatting to friends in the, ahem, VVIP area (that’s VERY Very Important People to all of us normaltons). NDubz star Fazer and Conor Maynard were both desperately trying to get into VVIP from the lowly VIP area and were eventually let in where they (probably) let out a WHOOP of delight. They also briefly spoke to the lady herself, lucky boys.
Rihanna was chatting away at the party to her pals about the clothing collection.
She excitedly told a pal, “This outfit is from the collection, isn’t it cute? This is like club wear, street wear, it’s great. There’s dresses, shoes, you’ve got to get online and have a look.”
Don’t worry, we already have! But does she have a fave piece…?
She revealed to her friend: “I’ve got my black dress with a slit. That dress is for my boy!”
Um, “boy” as in a certain Mr Chris Brown?
It didn’t all run totally smoothly, for some reason the DJ decided to play the same Drake song three times. Rihanna was there at the time and didn’t look particularly happy.
Did the Diamonds singer take her party back to her hotel for a wild time with her entourage? Err, no. She headed straight to the airport. Such is the life of a singer-designer-superstar…
